Emmaus High School Boys Soccer

The Emmaus JV Boys Soccer Team competed at the annual Lehigh Valley Futures Cup at Parkland High School on Saturday October 19 and were crowned tournament champions. The Hornets played two group stage games and two knockout round games.
Group Stage 1 – lost to Bethlehem Catholic 0-1.
Group Stage 2 – Beat Stroudsburg 2-0, sophomore Holden Brown scored both goals for the Hornets.
Semi-final – Beat Nazareth 1-0, sophomore Logan Mains scored the game-winner.
Final – Defeated Parkland 1-0, sophomore Brian Flor, leading scorer for the JV this season, scored the winner.

The Hornet JV ends the season with an overall record of 17-3-2. Coaches Matt and Andy Squire have again developed a group of unfamiliar players into a championship team. A strong future for Emmaus soccer seems assured with this group of players.
